Baked Blackened Cod Recipe


8 – Cod fillets (about 2 lbs.)

1 – stick Butter (melted)

3 – TBS Blackening Seasoning

Blackening Seasoning Mix

1 – TBS Paprika

2 – tsp. Salt

1 – tsp. Onion Powder

1 – tsp. Garlic Powder

1 – tsp. Cayenne Pepper

¾ - tsp. White Pepper

¾ - tsp. Black Pepper

½ - tsp. Thyme

½ - tsp. Oregano


  1. Preheat your oven to 350*.

  2. Arrange sliced lemons on a non-stick baking sheet.

  3. Melt butter in a shallow dish, like a pie pan, then set aside.

  4. Pat-dry cod fillets with paper towels to remove excess liquid.

  5. Dip one fillet at a time into the melted butter, coating bot sides evenly. Allow excess butter to drip off, then gently lay fish fillets on top of your lemon slices.

  6. Evenly coat the tops of each o your fillets with your blackening seasoning.

  7. Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes, or until fish is flakey and cooked through.

  8. ENJOY!
